Our Team

tl_files/parasail/img/our_team_rich.jpgCaptain Rich
Rich is originally from New Jersey, USA and has been working within the parasail industry for over 20 years. As an avid surfer he traveled to warmer climates in search of the endless summer. Rich received his start parasailing in Key Largo, Florida at 19 years old where he crewed for Caribbean Water Sports. He worked his way up to skipper only two years later. Rich worked in various locations including Florida, New Jersey, South Carolina, Guam and finally Hawaii for 7 years before moving to New Zealand and starting his own business. Flying Kiwi Parasail Ltd. has been operating since 1998.

Teddy is the only “true local” among us having been born and raised in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. With a Skipper for a father and a lifetime of surfing and fishing it seemed only natural to give up plastering for a living and work on the parasail boat. He has been working for Flying Kiwi Parasail for 5 years. When Ted is not on the parasail boat you can find him out on the water racing some of the more exclusive yachts around the Bay of Islands.

tl_files/parasail/img/our_team_julia.jpgOffice Girl Julia
Julia is of Swedish origin and made her entrance on Paihia's stage five years ago, after travelling the world on her own from the age of 20. Her background is in hospitality and marketing, and her role within the parasail team is to keep the Flying Kiwis in good shape by looking after sales and marketing. Julia loves the ocean and is still trying to learn to surf...

tl_files/parasail/img/CrewmanFelix.jpgCrewman Felix
German born Felix is a happy 20-year-old who moved with his family to the Bay of Islands when he was about five. For the last few years Felix has been working as a kayak guide and a snowboard instructor. Felix grew up fishing and diving and is totally at home on the ocean. He has joined our team this year after a big trip around Europe and we are stoked to have him as part of the crew.
